BATSIRA CHIKOMBA DISTRICT - An Initiative to Help Chikomba's Disadvantaged Children

Welcome!

Chikomba District has  produced many writers (Charles Mungoshi, David Mungoshi, Alexander Kanengoni, Sarudzayi Chifamba-Barnes, to name a few); senior politicians and government officials; and is home to Zimbabwe's First Lady. It also produced Engineers, Lecturers, Teachers, Doctors! At Batsira Chikomba District (BCD) we want Chikomba District to remain a torch-bearer in terms of producing the country's leaders in all spheres. We can  continue to produce great leaders in our area by helping  disadvantaged children (orphans, disabled etc) to access education.  They are our doctors, engineers, nurses and teachers of tomorrow.

Batsira Chikomba  District  was established  to help disadvantaged children in the area to access education, to build libraries, and to encourage physical fitness through sports. In the long run, projects will include women and youths' development projects to tackle poverty.

We encourage prominent people born in the District to join this Foundation and help to raise money for our schools. Charity begins at home. Let charity begin with us before we look for help from the outside world.

We require the following assistance:

  • school text books
  • library reading books
  • school uniforms
  • Shoes
  • stationary
  • sponsors of sports tournaments
  • school fees for orphans and disabled children.
